We are thrilled to announce the return of the Maryland Symphony Orchestra (MSO) Guild! As the MSO enters a period of exciting growth, we are reintroducing this vital organization to bring together dedicated volunteers who are passionate about music and eager to contribute to the success of the symphony’s many programs, events, and concerts.
The MSO Guild has a long and cherished history of supporting the symphony by providing crucial volunteer assistance at events and fundraisers like the annual Symphony Ball. Beyond event support, Guild members play an essential role in promoting music education and community engagement, helping to spread the joy of music throughout our region. This is your chance to join a group of like-minded individuals who share a love for the arts and a commitment to enriching the cultural landscape of our community.
If you’re interested in learning more or getting involved with the newly re-formed MSO Guild, we invite you to attend our organizational meeting on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at 4:00 PM. The meeting will be held at the Maryland Symphony Orchestra Office, located at the historic Maryland Theatre in downtown Hagerstown. This will be an opportunity to learn about the Guild’s mission, and explore how you can make a difference as a volunteer.
Why Join the MSO Guild? Guild volunteers provide invaluable support for a wide variety of symphony activities, including:
- Assisting with concert operations and special events
- Helping to coordinate key fundraising events, such as the Symphony Ball
- Promoting music education and community outreach programs
- Advocating for the arts and the importance of music in our community
Whether you want to dedicate your time to helping at events, contribute your organizational skills, or simply learn more about the Guild’s work, we welcome all levels of involvement.
How to Get Involved If you would like to attend the meeting or learn more about joining the Guild, please RSVP by contacting Deb Bockrath at dbockrath@marylandsymphony.org. Even if you are unable to attend, feel free to reach out to Deb for additional information on how you can contribute to this important effort.
We hope you’ll join us in this exciting chapter, and be a part of something truly meaningful.
