Join us for a unique musical event as the Maryland Symphony Orchestra presents its Side-by-Side concert on Friday, April 28, 2023, at 7:00 PM. This one-of-a-kind concert will feature talented student musicians from across the region performing alongside our seasoned Maryland Symphony Orchestra musicians.
Under the guidance of Music Director Elizabeth Schulze and our skilled orchestra musicians, students will rehearse and perfect their craft, culminating in an unforgettable performance of four exceptional pieces. The concert will open with the grand Academic Festival Overture by Brahms, followed by the vibrant An Outdoor Overture by Aaron Copland. Next up is the heartwarming Theme from Jurassic Park by John Williams, and finally, the invigorating Juba Dance from Symphony No. 1 by Florence Price.
