We’re excited to kick off our spring "Community Ensembles" tour this afternoon at Homewood of Williamsport! This wonderful outreach initiative brings classical and classical crossover music to communities throughout our region, offering audiences a chance to experience intimate performances of works for small ensembles—some of which are rarely heard in a live setting.

Tonight, we celebrate the incredible talent of young musicians in our community as the MSO presents its annual Side-by-Side concert at the Maryland Theatre. This special event features students selected for our Maryland Symphony Youth Strings (MSYS) and High School Side-by-Side program. Their participation in this experience—and the culminating concert—would not be possible without the generosity of our sponsors.

The Maryland Symphony Orchestra would like to thank the City of Hagerstown, Delaplaine Foundation, Alice Virginia and David W. Fletcher Foundation, Groh Charitable Trust, Maryland State Arts Council, Albert E. & Naomi B. Sinnisen / Kershner Sisters Foundation, Washington County Arts Council, Washington County Community Foundation, and Washington County Public Schools for their generous support of this initiative.
