About the Books:
“Max Found Two Sticks” by Brian Pinkney: In “Max Found Two Sticks,” young Max discovers the power of imagination and rhythm when he stumbles upon a pair of drumsticks. With boundless creativity, he transforms everyday objects into musical instruments, and the world around him becomes a vibrant, rhythmic symphony. This beautifully illustrated book celebrates the joy of self-expression and the magic that can happen when we let our imaginations soar.
“Hand, Hand, Fingers, Thumb” by Al Perkins: “Hand, Hand, Fingers, Thumb” is a delightful and engaging book that takes readers on a rhythmic journey through the world of playful monkeys. With catchy rhymes and whimsical illustrations, the story follows the monkeys as they drum, tap, and clap their way into a lively, infectious beat. This book is not only a fantastic introduction to rhythm and music for young children but also a joyful celebration of the simple pleasures of making music with our hands and fingers.
