Help Families Impacted by Hurricane Helene: Donate Essential Items
The Maryland Symphony Orchestra is launching a hurricane relief drive to support families affected by the devastation of Hurricane Helene. Our community’s compassion and generosity can make a difference in helping those in need as they work to rebuild their lives. We are urgently seeking essential supplies to assist these families in the coming days, weeks, and months.
Items Needed:
- Sports drinks (powdered packets)
- Hydration packs (powder form)
- Baby wipes and diapers
- Baby formula
- Bug spray
- Sunscreen
- Plastic utensils
- Manual can openers
- Trash bags (13 gallon or contractor bags)
- Bottled water
- Medical supplies
- Non-perishable foods
- Cleaning supplies
- Plastic sheeting/tarps and ropes
- Toothbrushes and toothpaste
- Toiletries/sanitation items/feminine hygiene products
- Pet food (dog & cat)
- Hand sanitizer and sanitizer wipes
- Heavy-duty work gloves
- Socks (all sizes, unopened)
- Nitrile gloves

Monday – Friday, 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Address: 21 S Potomac Street, Second Floor, Hagerstown, MD (inside the Maryland Theatre) - October Concerts
During the performances on October 12th and 13th at the Maryland Theatre
Please bring your items to the donation area located near the entrance.
We are coordinating with local agencies to ensure all donated items are distributed directly to families in need. Please note: We are not accepting monetary donations for this initiative.
Transport of Donations:
All collected items will be transported to the affected areas the week of October 14th.
